Stockholm - The Musical
Katherine Reed is excited to be performing in her first leading role as Detective Diane Johnson in Stockholm. Katherine has always been a singer but her true appreciation of music began when she started learning to play the violin at age eight. Since then, Katherine has been involved in numerous school productions weaving in her passion for singing and acting. She started classical voice lessons at age 15 and has participated in several classical eisteddfods. In 2011 she sang live for Adelaide ABC Radio to promote the International Kids Teaching Kids Conference. This year she co-authored the musical, Stockholm and appeared in a production of Under Milk Wood playing the role of Mary Anne Sailors and Voice. She attends Orana Steiner School in Weston and enjoys writing and participating in community work and advocacy. She is now an accomplished violinist and a student of classical voice. Next year, she aims to attend the Melbourne Conservatorium with the intention of becoming an opera singer.
