Go Your Own Way: The Story of Christine McVie

28 Oct 2016

Christine McVie was the girl who started out as a school teacher, picked up a bass guitar and began to sing the blues. Then she joined Fleetwood Mac and made rock history. Go Your Own Way is a celebration of great music and the tempestuous life of the Mac’s most famous songwriter.

Always an intriguing figure, Christine’s contrary attitude to global fame, ridiculous wealth, love and loss, personal privacy, songwriting and music is at the heart of her story.

At the height of their success she left to live a quiet life. Then she agreed to rejoin; then shetweeted, “Sorry folks. No tour.” And then she changed her mind!

In a career that has so far spanned four decades, the enigmatic Christine McVie is brought to life in 80 music-packed minutes by Catherine Alcorn who brings her own magic to some of the most memorable songs of the 20th century including Little Lies, Everywhere, Don’t Stop and Songbird.
