In March 2008, the doors opened on The Q, a Council initiative to create a cultural centre in the heart of Queanbeyan.

To mark the Tenth Anniversary, Bungendore’s own Shortis and Simpson are working with Actors and Musicians, with links to the centre, to create a performance that celebrates the history and range of performances they have participated in over its first 10 years.

Shortis and Simpson will be joined by the likes of Dave Evans, Jenna Roberts, Jordan Best, Christine Forbes, Gordon Nicholson, Peter J Casey, The Queanbeyan Players, Free Rain, The Worldly Goods Choir, and a hot band made up of Dave O’Neil, Jonathan Jones and Ian Blake. The show will also feature excerpts from some of the many shows Shortis & Simpson have performed at The Q.

Thank Q For the Memories will have its own theme song written in a community song-writing workshop to be held at the theatre.

This unique variety show celebrates a decade of Performing Arts in the vibrant cultural heart of Queanbeyan. Both Patrons and Performers alike agree that The Q is a quality venue with an intimate atmosphere unique to our region. A fantastic place to entertain and be entertained.
