Doreen first began performing in musical theatre in 1998 with Queanbeyan Players. Her latest role with that company was in 2014 as a nun in Sound of Music. Doreen also played the character of Baroness Elberfeld.
As well as theatre performances Doreen has performed singing at Eisteddfods, Church services as solo artist, Aged Care Homes and at Soirees with Art Song Canberra as well as other places.
Doreen has also worked backstage for Queanbeyan Players and also in the past has been a member of committee over many years mostly assisting with Publicity. She is currently a member of the committee of Art Song Canberra and member of ANATS. Over the last few years Doreen has also been assisting the Eisteddfod committee in their organisation.
Doreen has been a volunteer for Palliative Care ACT for seventeen years and has in recent months been developing a choir made up of Palliative Care Volunteers, Pal Care Singers, of which Doreen is Musical Director.
Doreen is looking forward to playing the character of Mrs Eynesford-Hill and wishes she could go to Ascot more often.
