From a producer's perspective, StageCenta is easy to use, provides the flexibility I need and is exceptionally great value.

I wouldn't sell my tickets with any other agency.

StageCenta have been a fantastic partner for St Edmund's College in the ticketing and promotion of our 2022 production Little Shop of Horrors. If ever we had any problem, a question, or an issue the team would respond promptly and guide us through the issue, or fix it if it was a backend issue.

I will definitely be using StageCenta again and would recommend the service to anyone. We have used a ticketing service before, but the transition over to StageCenta was a seamless one and I couldn't be happier. Fantastic service and incredible customer service.

MARA DAVIS MARA DAVIS

WEEK 2

11. I’M OLD FASHIONED

Mara Davis

Mara transports its audience back to a time where lyrics were pure and honest, where music was quaint, where emotions were expressed tenderly. It does all this through the lens of a very boring 23 year old girl who’d rather be at home playing the piano than out on the town.

A Place in the Sultan's Kitchen

The Art House Presents
A Merrigong Theatre Company production
A Place in the Sultan's Kitchen
(or How to Make the Perfect One-Pot Chicken Curry)
by Joshua Hinton

While attempting to cook his grandmother’s curry live on stage, Josh Hinton weaves together childhood memories and family folklore, exploring how the stories we tell and the memories we keep shape us all.

Woven from the threads of a sweeping family epic, A Place in the Sultan’s Kitchen (or How to Make the Perfect One-Pot Chicken Curry) is charming, funny and moving. Theatre maker and singer-songwriter Josh Hinton fills the theatre with music, memories, and exotic smells as he attempts to make his grandmother’s chicken curry, live on stage.

As you exit the theatre you will be greeted with a serving of the dish to complete your immersion in Josh's story!

Sharing childhood memories and family folklore passed down the generations, Josh transports the audience from the backstreets of Sri Lanka to a bustling city in India, from a schoolyard in Iran to a South African farm, to his home in Wollongong. It’s a show for anyone who’s searched for where they belong in this world, who’s lived between different cultures, or who has loved and lost family.
