Born and raised in Canberra, Joel discovered his passion for musical theatre after leaving school; having been introduced to Canberra's vibrant amateur theatre scene. Joel spent his twenties living in London where he trained at the prestigious Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, attaining a BA (Hons) in Performance (Musical Theatre). He has worked as a singer in concerts, cruise ships and recordings and has also workshopped new musical writing. His recent musical theatre credits include Doctor Madden in Phoenix Players production of
