Michael CooperMichael Cooper
ACT
Michael's interest in performance originated in his year 10 drama class where he played a very shy, pubescent version of Duke Frederick in As you Like it. He continued performing Shakespeare when he played Tybalt in his school's year 12 performance of Romeo and Juliet.
Since graduating the Canberra Academy of Dramatic Art in 2014, he has mainly been focusing on performing in short films, music videos and YouTube sketches around Canberra. He has only recently started focusing on the stage last year with ensemble roles in REP's recent productions of Oh, What a Lovely War and Radio on Repertory Lane. Most recently, he has been seen in REP's November 2018 production of One Man, Two Guvnors where he received a CAT award nomination for his role as the octogenarian waiter - Alfie.
Baskerville has been a show that Michael has wanted to be apart of ever since hearing how many characters he could have the opportunity to play. He is eager for the challenge and swears that after this show, he'll never complain about quick costume changes again.
