Teresa WojcikTeresa Wojcik
ACT
Born in New Zealand, Teresa Wojcik studied Music at the University of Otago, majoring in Classical Singing and Composition/Songwriting. After graduating in 2013, she moved to Germany, where she explored her versatility as a vocalist, performing regularly with a touring opera group and travelling Europe interpreting jazz, pop and original music. In her spare time, she ran several choirs and enjoyed teaching private students in all genres. In May 2018 she moved to Canberra to compose the full-length score for and perform in the stage production of S.A.D: A journey through the seasons of mental health which was an innovative look at Mental Health through the honest, at times heartbreaking, yet ultimately uplifting and hopeful lens of clowning which premiered in October of last year. Since her recent arrival in Australia she has also composed for other stage and screen projects and appeared as a singer and actress, mostly in one-offs and cameos, sometimes by invitation, occasionally by accident. Teresa is currently a vocal tutor and private singing teacher at Perform Australia (formerly Canberra Academy of Dramatic Arts) and receptionist at Subsdance Dance School in Kingston.
