Calendar Girls is the first time Linda has ever auditioned for a play and was delighted to be given the role of Lady Cravenshire. Previously she has been involved with every aspect of theatre with Canberra Philharmonic Society both on stage and off from 1975 until 2006. She joined Philo as a chorus member for Showboat in 1975 and performed continually in the chorus and also in the roles of Mrs Eynsford Hill in My Fair Lady, Giggling Gertie in Oklahoma, both in the Canberra Theatre and Mrs Rose in Hello Dolly at the Erindale Theatre. Linda was Secretary of the Society for a number of years, Vice-President and President.
Linda was Production Manager for many of Philos shows in the Canberra Theatre including all three productions of Les Miserable and Many Happy Returns for the Canberra Theatre Centres 40th Birthday celebrations with the RMC Band in October 2005. Linda was made a Life Member of Philo in 1993 for her dedication and commitment to the Society. She is thrilled to have been given the opportunity to work with Rep.
