Returning to Melbourne after a number of years in Perth, Helen is a Curtin University and WAAPA graduate, who has worked nationally and internationally as an actor and director . In Melbourne, she performed in and directed numerous productions at La Mama, was on the board of Melbourne Workers Theatre and one of their Rapid Response Street Theatre performers. She was also a founding member of The Wallace Co-op, a company specialising in the rarely performed genre of Grand Guignol, the theatre of horror and terror. In Perth, Helen worked with Red Desert, Bastard Amber, Barking Gecko, Deckchair, Kitchen Sink, Scooplight and Hive. She played Olive in Class Act's production of Summer of the Seventeenth Doll, Marcus in an all female version of Shakespeare's Titus Andronicus, Agnus in Tracey Lett's Bug and back in Melbourne, Shirley in Shirley vs the Possums, Mrs Winemiller in Tennessee Williams’ Summer and Smoke and Erna in the Austrian punk classic, Holy Mother’s at La Mama.
