Olga Tamara entered the world of acting after she resigned as a dancer from the Australian Ballet Company in 1976. Having travelled the world and dancing with the likes of Rudolf Nureyev and Margot Fonteyn, she resigned to concentrate on her love of acting. Olgas first role in Glenview High won her an ABC TV Penguin award for Best New Talent in 1978.
She continued to appear in numerous television series carving out a successful acting career in regular roles in long running television series Cop Shop and Holiday Island and guest roles in Chopper Squad, Young Doctors,Paradise Village to name a few. Olga also appeared in lead roles in Wild Ass Of A Man alongside Max Gilles and the stage Musical Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, The Shifting Heart, Waiting for Rupert Murdock and Morning Sacrifice to name a few.
Olga studied at Hays Gordon Theatre and The Ensemble in the 60s private coaching in the 70s and now regularly attends acting workshops with the likes of Kim, Farrant, Peter Andrikidis, Jeremy Simms, masterclass scene study with John Hindman and continues to work on her love of directing stage works.
Olga is excited to be directing the 2024 production of Ruth Fingrets ASYLUM.
