School of Rock
During school hours, Zach can be found teaching drama and music full-time at Lyneham High School but when the school bell rings, Zachs love of acting and music comes out and he takes to the stage. Some of his most notable acting roles were in Wait Until Dark (Canberra Rep 2017), High Fidelity (Phoenix Players 2015), Magic Flute (Carl Rafferty 2013), and Pool No Water (Everyman Theater 2012).
Although seen rocking out on a guitar during the show, Zach is usually found with a trumpet in his hand, having played in the orchestra for multiple shows. Some of these include Legally Blonde (Free Rain 2014), Into The Woods (Dramatic Productions 2015), Company (Everyman Theater 2015), Sweeney Todd (Dramatic Productions 2017), 42nd Street (Free Rain 2018), and West Side Story (Canberra Theater 2019).
You can catch his dulcet trumpet tones currently in the Canberra Symphony Orchestra, and when he leads his 1920s jazz band, The Zackerbilks.

My Personal Bio
After a seven-year stint as a professional freelance orchestral trumpeter in Australia and Germany, Zach’s first debut as an actor was with Les Miserables (Stuttgart Kelly Barracks 2006.) In 2008 he joined Royal Caribbean cruise ships as a newly inspired jazz musician and sailed all over the world, returning to Canberra in 2010, where he became a brass tutor at ACT schools and a fulltime member of local bands including Brass Knuckle and Mitierra. In 2013, he quit all bands to form Trumpet Club, a local group of amateur trumpeters within a fun social setting. Zach’s most recent acting roles have been Voyage Around my Father (Rep 2010), Speaking in Tongues (Rep 2012), Pool No Water (Everyman 2012), Magic Flute (Carl Rafferty 2013), and Gold Digger Nights (Short and Sweet 2014).
