Canberra Academy of Dramatic Art is pleased to showcase its 600+ students in this year's end-of-year productions.
Students have been working on short plays during Term 4 and will present them on stage at Canberra Repertory's Theatre 3 in Acton. The audience will enjoy all kinds of stories with a range of themes and characters.
This event is a great opportunity for our young students to experience a performance in a working theatre, and to practise all the skills of an actor: standing under lights and performing to a live audience, applying what they've rehearsed in class in real time, and using shared theatrical spaces on stage and backstage thoughtfully.
Drama is a fantastic way for children and young people to develop creative thinking skills, self-confidence, and team skills as they work in an ensemble of performers.
