Honest Puck and Limbo Theatre are pleased to present the Neil Simon classic, The Good Doctor. 

Neil Simon’s The Good Doctor is a brilliant adaptation of Anton Chekhov’s short stories for the stage. We are invited into the home of an unnamed writer (clearly Chekhov himself), suffering from a case of writer’s block. As he speaks in order to rid himself of his affliction, he tells a series of stories examining the humour and the heart of humanity. A cast of memorable characters from an acting troupe play out the stories as each scene is introduced. They deliver a slice of life of Chekhov’s characters, drawing us into their worlds for a short time before the writer whisks us on to the next one. The Good Doctor places a lens on the absurd, outlandish, ludicrous, poignant and odd frailties of humans and enables us to laugh at ourselves. From its beginnings as stories written in Russia at the end of the 19th century, to being brought to life by an American playwright, and now performed in Australia, The Good Doctor is truly a night celebrating universal experiences.
