Canberra Opera is pleased to announce its next production, a double bill performance of Puccini's Gianni Schicchi and Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana, which will be performed 23 August - 1 September at Belconnen Theatre.

Melbourne-based Director Kate Millett brings her captivating, vibrant vision to the comic opera Gianni Schicchi, placed in the heart of the 1980s. In Cavalleria Rusticana, Kate presents a stark contrast in a starved, post WW2 society where tragedy permeates the opera.
