All My Sons

29 Jul 2022 to 20 Aug 2022

If you were forced to choose between your personal or social responsibilities, impacting your family, livelihood, and reputation, without knowing the consequences of that choice, what would you do?

Set in 1946 in a small town in Ohio, the respectable Keller family are coming to terms with their eldest son, missing in action. Patriarch Joe owns a factory that made airplane parts for the war effort. His wife Kate refuses to believe her son is dead and youngest sibling Chris is in love with his brother’s girlfriend.

Joe’s possible involvement in a war tragedy sparks an examination of greed, denial and guilt which entangles the Kellers, their friends, and neighbours. What secrets could rot a family from the inside and spoil everything they touch?

Based on a true story, this modern classic explores the space between guilt and innocence, ruin and respectability, and the fallacy of the American Dream.

By arrangement with Music Theatre International Australasia Pty, Ltd, on behalf of Dramatists Play Service, Inc.
