Composer-videographer and father Creswick (fka Liam Budge) has created a live music cinematic response to the contemporary experience of fathering through song, words, film, first-hand accounts… and unfiltered authenticity. It’s music that sits at the intersection of jazz, pop, folk, and rock with soaring instrumental solos, delicate ballads, art rock and ultra-vivid textural soundscapes. It’s visuals artfully composed traversing wide open landscapes to working farms, suburban loungerooms and hills hoist backyards, weaving a delicate tapestry of a corner of contemporary Australian life capturing the intimacy of fathers at play. In His Words takes to a stage lit by Antony Hateley and shaped by Imogen Keen with Creswick, a leading jazz musician and vocalist, joined by the stellar ensemble of Brett Williams, Ben Hauptmann, James Hauptmann, and Chris Pound.
