John has been involved in theatre and events for almost 20 years since discovering a love for theatre in school in 2004.

John has performed a variety of backstage roles including stage management and set design/construction. Most recently being awarded 'best set' in the inaugural Ovations, for his work designing and constructing the set for School of Rock (Dramatic Productions, 2022).

John also ventured onstage as a chorus member for Sweeney Todd (Dramatic Productions, 2017).
