Christine has been performing in the Canberra theatre scene since moving to Canberra in 2005. At the age of 13, she began her journey in singing, participating in classical training for 11 years and completing a Bachelor of Contemporary Arts (Music). When Christine was 15, she discovered her passion for musical theatre, gaining the role of Tuptim in a production of THE KING AND I in the Southern Highlands of NSW. Before moving to Canberra, Christine performed in many roles in the Highlands and in 2004 achieved a nomination for the CAT award for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical for her roles of Hodel in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF (with HTG) and Peg in SUMMER RAIN (with Smart Arts).Since moving to Canberra, Christine has performed roles in many productions, such as Sylvia in SUPA Productions ALL SHOOK UP and Svetlana in Queanbeyan Performing Arts Centre's (The Q's) production of CHESS. She was nominated for both these roles for Best Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical at the CAT Awards and won the award for her role in CHESS. 2010 then saw Christine feature in Canberra Repertory's JAZZ GARTERS 2, returning to her roots in the Southern Highlands as Meg in LITTLE WOMEN: THE MUSICAL and treading the Teatro Vivaldi's stage for Canberra Philharmonic and SUPA Productions. Christine returned to the Q in July 2011 to perform the role of Mrs Johnston in the acclaimed production of BLOOD BROTHERS. The show was revisited at the Q in January 2012. The role of Mrs Johnston saw Christine receive a Canberra Critics Circle Award and also the Best Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical Award for the 2011 CAT Awards.Since this production, Christine has been focusing on her Latin Dancing, but is now ready to tread the boards again in the Q's latest offering - I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change.
