The Art of Teaching Nothing
Like Beth, Sophie is a Year 12 student currently sitting her HSC exams. With a passion for performance, Sophie is eager to learn and undertakes singing tuition, as well as participating in workshops with the likes of NIDA and Rachael Beck. With a soft spot for musical theatre, she's participated in many productions with Karabar High School's rigorous Performing Arts Stream, including Little Shop of Horrors, Reflections, The Power, Oklahoma! as Ado Annie, and as The Storyteller in The Musical Adventures of Peter Pan. In 2013, Sophie branched out onto the community theatre scene for the first time; with Queanbeyan player's production of Annie Get Your Gun as Winnie. She has since appeared in Budding Theatre's Hothouse: A Showcase of Monologues, and as Jan in Queanbeyan City Council's production of Grease in August. The Art of Teaching Nothing is Sophie's fourth show within the Canberra theatre community, and she doesn't intend on slowing down any time soon! Sophie aspires to further her education in the performing arts and become a seasoned performer in the Canberra Theatre Community.
