ALWAYS A BRIDESMAID

9 Apr 2021 to 1 May 2021

Four friends have sworn to keep the promise they made on the night of their Senior Prom: to be in each other’s weddings … no matter what.

Join four Southern Belles (of a certain age) in this very funny comedy about friendship, love and bridesmaids’ dresses. There’s serial bride Monette, Libby Ruth the hopeless romantic, Deedra the calm, intelligent judge, and tree-hugging, Birkenstock wearing Charlie. Throw in Sedalia the Maître d’ Wedding Planner and a young rather inebriated bride and you have a recipe for hilarity.

Set in the bridal parlour of Laurelton Oaks, Virginia, a stunning wedding reception venue, tensions are high as pre-wedding jitters take over when one bridesmaid arrives without a dress and another with a streaming nose and hacking cough.

Always a Bridesmaid explores those friendships that last a lifetime and why, thirty years later, these gals are still making “the long walk” for each other, determined to honour their teenage vow.
