RED

21 Nov 2026 to 22 Nov 2026

Once upon a time, there was a sweet little girl who was loved by everyone she met, but most of all by her grandmother. The old woman adored her and made her a beautiful little red velvet hood. It suited her perfectly, and from that day forward, everyone called her Little Red Riding Hood (Red for short).

One morning, Red meets her Grandmother at the Village Markets, where they gather cakes and goodies for an afternoon visit. Before leaving Red to prepare her cottage, Grandma reminds her that this will be the first time she travels through the forest alone. She warns Red to stay on the path, be careful, and beware of the dangers that may lurk within the Dark Forest. Red promises to be sensible and sets off on her journey.

As Little Red Riding Hood enters the forest, she encounters a Wolf. Innocent and unafraid, Red is unaware of the wicked creature before her. The Wolf, however, is immediately intrigued by the delicious goodies in Red’s basket and begins plotting how to trick her.

Learning that Red is on her way to Grandma’s house for afternoon tea, the cunning Wolf draws her attention to the beauty of the forest, encouraging her to stop and pick flowers for her grandmother. Delighted by the idea, Red happily wanders from the path. As she ventures deeper into the woods, she encounters owls, deer, woodsmen and their little woodchoppers.

At the edge of the Dark Forest, Red meets the Wolf once more. With promises of a quicker journey, the Wolf persuades her to take a supposed shortcut through the shadowy woods. But this shortcut is no shortcut at all. The Wolf races ahead, calling upon the Ravens, Wolf Pack and spirits of the Dark Forest to delay Red while she hurries towards Grandma’s cottage.

Arriving well before Red, the Wolf disguises her true identity and tricks Grandma into opening the door. Once inside, the wicked creature prepares to carry out her plan.

When Little Red Riding Hood finally reaches the cottage, she finds the door standing open and the room strangely quiet. Grandma is sitting in her chair, but something seems terribly unusual. As Red approaches, she notices that her grandmother’s ears are unusually large, her eyes strangely wide and, most alarming of all, her mouth and teeth are enormous!

Before Red can realise the danger she is in, the Wolf reveals herself and gives chase. A thrilling pursuit follows as Red and Grandma desperately try to escape the wicked creature. Just when all seems lost, the Woodsmen arrive to help drive the Wolf away.

Returning to the village, everyone celebrates their narrow escape. Red has learned a valuable lesson about listening to those who care for her, being cautious of strangers and never wandering from the path.

And so, with the Wolf defeated and peace restored, Little Red Riding Hood and her beloved Grandma live happily ever after.
