Adam has been performing on stages for the last 25 years. After taking a year off shows, his return performance is on home turf. Adam is a Drama teacher at Gungahlin College and will return to this same theatre to direct his talented cohort in Terry Pratchett's Mort in September. This is his second time round with Dramatic Productions, having performed in Sweeney Todd in 2017. His more recent musical/anthropomorphic appearances include Beast (Beauty and the Beast) and Cat in the Hat (Seussical) with Ickle Pickle, while his play/human roles have seen him in Rep's The Crucible and She Stoops toConquer.
Since graduating with a BA (Acting for Stage and Screen) from CSU, Wagga, Adam has performed in and directed many other plays and musicals in both Canberra and Sydney. He Is excited that Short+Sweet Canberra is celebrating 10 years and that he didn't kill it off early when Festival Director in 2010.
Adam is a member of the ACT Drama Association (ACTDA), is currently studying his Cert IV in Live Production and Services through Canberra Theatre Centre and hopes to continue exploring the many facets of Performing Arts for some time yet. He also hopes to continue acknowledging the superb support of his wife and children in his bios for many years too, as they are definitely his other passion (and by "other", he means "primary").
View My Personal BioA graduate from the Charles Sturt University BA Acting (Stage & Screen) course, Adam moved to Sydney, where he performed in theatre and film for three years. During this time, he performed in many brand new musicals in multiple venues.
After leaving the Sydney acting scene for a more peaceful lifestyle, Adam has been an active part of the Canberra theatre scene since 2009. He has acted, directed and judged for Short+Sweet, as well as being Festival Director in 2010.
He has also performed with Freshly Ground Theatre, Women's Forum Theatre, Phoenix Players, Lexx Productions, Canberra Rep, Dramatic Productions and Ickle Pickle, playing a variety of roles, as well as singing and dancing.
Adam is also an accent and voice coach, with radio and voice over experience. He teaches Drama and Live Production & Services in ACT public schools, directing students in many major shows and festivals each year.
