Short+Sweet Theatre Canberra 2013, ACTs local chapter of the world’s biggest 10-minute play festival, hits the Courtyard Studio for its fifth year from 6 August 2013.

This year’s Festival will be created by special guest Festival Director, and one of Australia’s most respected theatre directors, Kate Gaul.

Over 10 action packed days, the Festival will present 30 amazing 10-minute plays, many written by local writers, directed and performed by Canberra’s top local theatre talent and independent theatre companies.

This year the Festival will climax with a Gala Final on Saturday 17 August at 7.30pm when the best 10 plays, as selected by our judges and the audience during the Festival, will compete for the ultimate crown of winner of Short+Sweet Canberra 2013.

In 2013 we again offer a full day of Wildcards in Canberra, which will present a one off programme of edgier, more adventurous works by fresh young and developing local artists. The Wildcards will perform twice on Saturday 10 August.

This year’s Festival will also feature an inspiring Masterclass and workshop programme where participants will be given exclusive access to a range of talks and classes by top theatre professionals.
