Groovy Boots Theatre is the brainchild of Chris Thomas and Phil Barnett, who both have an extensive background in Perth’s theatre scene with more than 25 years’ combined experience in Perth theatre.

Wanting to take theatre a step up to the next level, their vision is to stage productions where cast and crew will be paid for their efforts.

Already, Groovy Boots Theatre has performed the West Australian premiere of Reality Matters at the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts and toured the show to Kalgoorlie-Boulder in May 2010 on behalf of Stage Left Theatre. It staged a sell-out season of the Australian wedding farce Dimboola in October 2010, followed by a one-off show - also sold out - in April 2011.

The company also staged the WA premiere of The Eight: Reindeer Monologues, at Lazy Susan's Comedy Den in late 2012.

Groovy Boots Theatre has also been registered as a business, under the Business Names Act 1962. The business number is BN11572498.
